Where in the World Wednesday

It's certainly Spring time in Colorado....you want to know how I can be so sure? Well, let me tell you: it's the middle of May and it's snowing! This is, of course, after having weather in the 70's recently. Those of us who have called Colorado home for quite a while are never shocked by Spring, and even Summer, snow fall, but it's kind of fun to listen to Colorado newbies whine over our unpredictable weather (at first...then, when they still can't seem to wrap their heads around it, it's just annoying). Spring really is horrible in terms of unpredictability, but our proximity to the mountains and the curve ball that they throw into normal weather patterns always keeps us on our toes!

Anyway, snow or no snow, today is Wednesday, which means it's time for Classy in Philadelphia's Where in the World Wednesday. The idea behind this feature is to post a picture of you someplace in the world. It doens't have to be foreign or tropical; just somewhere that you consider traveling, including your hometown or a destination you've only dreamed of visiting.

If you do decide to participate, feel free to use Feris' button and make sure to link back up over at Jess' blog so everyone can travel along with you!
Today, I'm off to:
London, England

I was only 13 when I was lucky enough to visit this amazing city, but my time there has really stuck with me. I love London and everything it has to offer. Unfortunately, sll of my pictures from this trip are in albums at my parents' house, so you'll just have to make due with one off of the internet. I vividly remember stepping onto the sidewalk from the Underground, having no clue where in the city I was, only to look up and find Big Ben towering over me. Added to it was the fact that I was standing right by one of London's quintessential red phone booths. It was, by far, one of the most incredible moments of my life!

Where in the World Wednesday

It's time for Classy in Philadelphia's Where in the World Wednesday feature once again!

The idea of WITWW is to post a picture of you someplace in the world. It doesn't have to be foreign or tropical; just somewhere that you consider traveling. This could include your own hometown, new photos of past destinations that you've already freatured or even locations that you WISH you could travel too. Get creative!

If you decide to participate in WITWW, remember to use Feris' button and to link up your post with Jess' so the rest of us can travel along with you.

Today I'm traveling just a bit up the road to lovely
Boulder, Colorado

Boulder's famous Pearl Street Mall is well-known for it's abundance of brightly colored tulips that, rumor has it, get replanted each and every year! Walking and shopping along Pearl Street has long been one of my favorite things to do, along with people watching. Boulder is known for having quite the electic population and it never fails to deliver an entertaining sight or two. Plus, with tulips being my favorite flower, I can't help but be in hog heaven during the Spring in Boulder.

Where in the World Wednesday

Last week I was in the middle of a Personal day and blogging wasn't a priority, so I skipped out on Classy in Philadelphia's Where in the World Wednesday. But, don't you fret, I am back in the game today!

The idea behind WITWW is to post a picture of you somewhere in the world. It doesn't have to be some place foreign or tropical; just somewhere you consider traveling. It can be from your hometown, or even a destination you've never been to before, but dream of visiting.

If you do decide to participat, feel free to use Feris' button and remember to post a link on Jess' blog so the rest of us can travel along with you!

Today I am enjoying the sunshine in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. The wind was not so lovely, but the sun certainly was.

If you ever get the chance, eat at The Friendly Toast. The menu was varied, the food was tasty and the decor was one-of-a-kind!

Where in the World Wednesday

It's Wednesday, which means that not only is the week nearly half-way done, but it's time for Classy in Philadelphia's weekly feature: Where in the World Wednesday.

As I've said countless times before (and will probably continue to say each week), the idea behind WITWW is to post a picture of you someplace in the world. It doesn't have to be someplace foreign or tropical, just somewhere that you consider traveling. In fact, this can be your hometown, it can be somewhere you've never been but are dying to visit or it can even be a repeat destination with fresh, new photos. You get to call the shots, folks!

And, if you do decide to participate, please feel free to steal Feris' button and also remember to link up your post with Jess so we can all "travel" with each other.

Today I am headed to...

BOSTON'S MUSEUM OF FINE ARTS

(yes, that's a creepy baby's head sculpture...there were 2 of them and I was intrigued)

I could spend all day just wandering through this lovely museum, getting lost in the Impressionists wing and well, just getting lost in general... A new wing is going in and it looks like it's going to be spectacular! I cannot wait to visit again.

Where in the World Wednesday

After missing out on Classy in Philadelphia's Where in the World Wednesday for the past 2 weeks, I certainly am not going to forget today! In fact, I've been thinking about this all week and am quite excited!

As always, the idea behind WITWW is to post a picture of you someplace in the world. It doesn't have to be somewhere foreign or tropical, just somewhere you consider traveling. In fact, it could even be in your own hometown! And, as a new twist, you can even post a picture or two of someplace you wish to travel to. Ahhh, the possibilities...

If you do decide to participate, please feel free to use Feris' button, and remember to link back up with Jess so we can all follow each other's travels!

Today I am heading back to Boston to what has been referred by some as my Mecca:
FENWAY PARK!

Yep, you heard me, I am a Red Sox fan, and I finally made it to Fenway. It was freezing and windy as all get out this day (definite downside to being in a city on the water) but I was almost too excited to notice. My Uncle kindly let me walk all around the Park (off season, so it was closed) and graciously stopped every few feet so I could take yet another picture. I was in heaven!

Where in the World Wednesday

Can you believe it is already Wednesday?! I feel like the past 2 days have gone by extremely fast...not that I'm complaining or anything.

Since it is already the middle of the week that means it's time for Classy in Philadelphia's Where in the World Wednesday feature!

The idea behind WITWW is to post a picture of you someplace in the world...it doesn't have to be somewhere foreign or tropical; just somewhere that you consider traveling. It could even be in your hometown!

If you decide to participate, please use Feris' button, and share a link to your post with Jess.

Today, I'm off to Boston...waiting for the T at the Science Park station. Don't let the gorgeous blue skies, sunshine and my lack of a coat fool you, it was a chilly February day! But, obviously, a lovely day. And yes, that's my favorite: the Zakim Bridge.

Where in the world are you today?!

Where in the World Wednesday

Even though it's almost 8:00 pm, which means my bedtime is only a few hours away, I promise I haven't forgotten about Classy in Philadelphia's weekly feature: Where in the World Wednesday.

The idea behind WITWW is to post a picture of you someplace in the world. It doesn't have to be somewhere foreign or tropical; just somewhere you consider traveling.

If you decide to participate, make sure to use Feris' button and to post your blog link to Jess' blog. Also, check out the other participants in this feature to find some great new blogs to read!

The Molly Brown House in Denver, Colorado- Nov. 2009
I've always enjoyed visiting this historic residence and my last trip was no different. Jamie and I both had a day off together, so we toured the house and played dress-up with the period hats!

Where in the World Wednesday

Wednesday has once again rolled around, which means it's time for Classy in Philadelphia's Where in the World Wednesday!

The idea behind WITWW is to post a picture of you someplace in the world. It doesn't have to be somewhere foreign or tropical, just someplace that you consider traveling. It can even be in your own backyard if you so desire!

If you choose to participate (which I think you all should), feel free to use the button as made by Feris, and make sure to post a link on Jess's blog so she can see where her weekly installment has taken everyone today.

Because I haven't yet tackled the task of blogging about my Boston trip, I think I'll take today's WITWW opportunity to show off a pic or two...

Cape Porpoise, Maine

The breeze coming off of the ocean was frigid, but my Uncle and I had a great time climbing around the shore and snapping up lots of pictures. There was no one around, so the only sounds were the seagulls and the little waves breaking on the sand. It was gorgeous!

Where in the World Wednesday

Happy Wednesday, everyone! Since I missed out on last week's Where in the World Wednesday and I'll be traveling next Wednesday, I most certainly do not want to miss out this week!

The idea behind Classy in Philadelphia's weekly installment is to post a picture of you someplace in the world. It doesn't have to be somewhere foreign or tropical; just a picture of you somewhere you consider traveling.

And if you do decide to participate, make sure to steal Feris' WITWW button and to post a link on Jess' blog.

This week I'm heading just a little southwest from my hometown to Golden, Colorado. Golden is home to the Colorado School of Mines (super intelligent future engineers migrate here) and to The Coors Brewery! Over Thanksgiving my Uncle, Mom and I took the tour for the first time, and boy did we have fun. I've always been partial to Killian's Irish Red and Blue Moon, so it was fun to see where these tasty brews are made.

Where in the World Wednesday

Me: Hello, Wednesday, it's lovely to see you!
WITWW: So, where are we headed to today?
Me: It's so nice of you to ask; today we're off to Massachussetts!
WITWW: Fabulous!

Yep, you read that right, I just had an imaginary conversation with Classy in Philadelphia's Where in the World Wednesday. It's truly a wonder that I have friends...haha!

Anyway, as I'm assuming you picked up on it is once again Wednesday, which means it's time for Where in the World Wednesday! The idea of WITWW is to post a picture of you someplace in the world...it doesn't have to be somewhere foreign or tropical. Just a picture of you somewhere that you consider traveling. It might even be somewhere in your hometown! Feel free to use Feris' button and share your post link with Jess!

Chances are quite good that you'll be seeing quite a few more WITWW posts involving MA, NH, RI and maybe even ME in the following weeks (I am, afterall, going out there in 2 weeks), but I love MA, so I feel like going there today. :-)

Where in the World Wednesday

Well, folks, I am home sick and I must admit that I'm not having a blast. I feel like crap and am a tad antsy, which often happens when I'm sick and I've watched my quota of movies. So, in order to help combat this, let's travel across the Atlantic for this week's Where in the World Wednesday: We're off to Liechtenstein!

As I mentioned in my very first WITWW post, all of my European travel pics are from the pre-digital camera era, and all of these photos are in albums at my parents' house. So, you're just going to have to settle for a few pictures of Liechtenstein that do not have me in them...use your imagination!

As always, feel free to jump on the WITWW bandwagon, use Feris' fun button and share a link to your post with Jess over at Classy in Philadelphia!

Schloss Vaduz

Triesenberg, Liechtenstein

Not a glamorous shot, but I distinctly remember wandering around here!
Vaduz, Liechtenstein (the capital)

I only spent an hour in this country 10 years ago, but I loved its charm, its castle perched on the side of a mountain and its friendly people. I remember being quite upset that our tour had to move on to Austria without further exploration of this lovely little country. Granted, I had probably seen the majority of the country in my short hour there, but nonetheless, I wasn't quite ready to leave Liechtenstein.

I'd jump at the chance to go back in a heartbeat!

Where In The World Wednesday

I cannot believe another week has already flown by, but nonetheless it certainly has! Seeing as it's Wednesday I think you all know what that means: time for Where in the World Wednesday!!

The idea behind Classy in Philadelphia's weekly installment is to post a picture of you someplace in the world. It doesn't have to be somewhere foreign or tropical; just someplace that you consider traveling.

If you do decide to participate (which I highly recommend you all do), feel free to use the WITWW button designed by Feris.

So, where to this week...

Virginia Beach, VA!
I spent Labor Day weekend 2009 here with Corey, her fiance Matt and our friend Carrie playing on the beach, getting sunburnt, turning Carrie into a sand mermaid and cheering on Corey and Carrie as they ran in a half-marathon.

As per her request, Carrie became a sand mermaid!

Where in the World Wednesday

Wednesday has rolled around again, so it's time for another edition of Classy in Philadelphia's Where in the World Wednesday!!

The idea behind WITWW is to post a picture of you someplace in the world...it doesn't have to be someplace foreign or tropical. Just a picture of you somewhere that you consider traveling. And, if you do decide to participate, please share your post link with Jess so she can see where you've been!

For today's post, I take you all to Vail, Colorado. This is not terribly far from where I call home (we're talking just a couple of hours), and this particular trip was just a day trip. But, it was a fun day with my best friend and Vail is an absolutely gorgeous mountain town! If you haven't been to Vail and ever get the chance, I highly recommend it.

Where in the World Wednesday

For weeks now I've been meaning to participate in Classy in Philadelphia's "Where in the World Wednesday", but each week Wednesday seems to pass me by with no post. So, I'm finally doing it! I cannot guarantee that this will be a weekly thing, but I would like to get more into a habit of participating. The majority of my travels are within the US (hey now, I'm poor but still have the travel bug!) but I'll try to dig out pics from my European travels 10 YEARS AGO (pre-digital camera era)! Wow, has it really been that long?

Anyway, the idea of WITWW is to post a picture of you someplace in the world...it doesn't have to be somewhere foreign or tropical. Just a picture of you somewhere that you consider traveling.

So, without further ado, my first WITWW post:

April 2009 - Washington, DC with the bestie for the Cherry Blossom Festival
